Auto & General enters the Australian market to challenge the status quo and provide Australians with affordable, comprehensive and dependable insurance solutions.
2000
Budget Direct launches with Motor insurance and our first policy is sold.
2004
Budget Direct Roadside Assistance product launches to support customers.
2006
Budget Direct Home and Contents insurance launches.
2014
Travel insurance launches.
2017
Our A&G South African call centre opened in Johannesburg to meet our growing customer requirements.
2020, February
We reach one million active A&G Motor policies in Australia.

We combine our local expertise with global experience and industry leading innovation.
The Reef Investment Consortium presently carries on insurance and online comparison related businesses in South Africa, United Kingdom, Australia, Turkey, France, Singapore, China and Thailand.
This global network has approximately 6,400 employees and 29 offices globally. In the Australian business, we have more than 2,700 employees located in offices across Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and Johannesburg.
